Insurance
Motorcycle Insurance typically
offers a combination of liability, guest liability, physical damage to
cycle, theft, medical payments and other optional coverages.
Items that may affect your premium include:
- CC of the motorcycle
- Your driving record
- Where you store your cycle
- Your credit record
- Years of cycle experience
- Your age
- Previous Cycle Coverage
ATV Insurance
Michigan does not require ATV insurance and you may have some limited
coverage if you have a homeowner’s policy. You should contact us to
review your homeowner’s policy to determine whether you need a separate
ATV Policy or endorsement.
Many of our companies offer discounts to help lower your premium
including:
- A discount for being a member of associations such as the
Harley-Davidson Owners Group (HOG), American Motorcyclist
Association (AMA) or the Honda Rider's Club of America (HRCA).
- Raising Deductibles - A deductible is the amount you pay before
the insurance starts to pay for your loss. Since the purpose of
insurance is to pay for the losses you cannot afford, raise your
deductible to a limit that you could handle in case of a loss.
- Physical Damage – insuring the motorcycle itself is usually the
most expensive part of the policy. In addition to looking at your
deductible, evaluate if you can afford to self insure the value of
the cycle yourself saving yourself up to 70% of the total premium.
- Non Drinker Discounts
- Multi-Policy/Multi-cycle discounts-Place your cycle and auto
insurance with the same insurance company and enjoy a combined
savings of up to20%.
